The Guggenheim has been following your work, and they want to give you an exhibition. The space is 10’x20’. Create the exhibition work, layout, exhibition card, portfolio, resume, artist statement, bio, and proposal for the show.
The course is aimed at the development of art practices as they relate to the life of a working artist outside of a university setting. The goal for the class is to develop a model of what it means to be a working artist. This includes business elements as well as studio time. There will be an emphasis on the development of conceptual ideas and the development of a body, or series, of works. Ideally this emphasis will assist in the transition of graduating to becoming an independent working artist.
